2006
- Telesat awarded the 2006 Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award. The award recognized Telesat as a major innovator in satellite communications services, specifically for the Anik F2 satellite Ka-band payload and spot-beam services.
2004
- Telesat honoured with the 2004 Frost & Sullivan Regional Satellite operator award. Telesat earned this distinction for its strategy and product innovation.
- Telesat named one of Canada 's Top 100 Employers in the prestigious annual survey published in Maclean's magazine. The Company received the honour for its employee benefits, positive work environment and social atmosphere.
2002
- Telesat received the Canadian Satellite User Association's Outstanding Service Award at the organization's annual conference. The CSUA's executive committee recognized Telesat's efforts in providing state-of-the-art satellite platforms to the Canadian broadcasting industry, allowing delivery of a wide variety of programming to all parts of Canada .
1998
- Telesat honoured with an Industry Innovators Award from the Society of Satellite Professionals International. This award recognized Telesat's technological prowess in developing the Ground Loop Attitude Control System for its Anik E2 satellite.
1994
- Laurels Award presented to Telesat's GLACS Implementation Team by Aviation Week & Space Technology.
1992
- Gemini Award for Best Technical Achievement for the High Definition coverage of the All Star Baseball Game at the Skydome.
1991
- Telesat recognized with two prestigious awards for exceptional success in the rescue of the Anik E2 satellite: a Laurels Award from the Editors of Aviation Week and the first-ever Space Mission Recovery Prize from La Réunion Spatiale.
- Special Achievement Award presented by Communications Canada to the Anik E2 Mission Team.
