OTTAWA, ONTARIO – September 21, 2026 – KONGSBERG Canada today announced an expansion of its Canadian industrial presence across the space and defence sectors, marked by the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MDA Space Ltd. and a strategic Letter of Intent (LOI) with Telesat LEO ULC, a subsidiary of Telesat Corporation (Nasdaq and TSX: TSAT). These agreements coincide with the official visit of Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to Ottawa, reflecting the deepening strategic alliance between Canada and Norway following the bilateral Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed earlier this year.
Under these strategic agreements, KONGSBERG is establishing dedicated partnerships with premier Canadian space leaders to strengthen technical cooperation and sovereign communications.
