Telesat invests US$5 million in Farcast to develop fully integrated User Terminals for Telesat Lightspeed satellite network

Telesat (Nasdaq and TSX: TSAT), one of the world’s largest and most innovative satellite operators, today announced an expanded relationship with Farcast, a San Francisco-based startup that is building advanced satellite User Terminals. Under the new agreement, Farcast will deliver an enterprise-class Flat Panel Antenna (FPA) User Terminal that is fully integrated with the Telesat Lightspeed modem and ready for volume production. Additionally, Telesat is making a US$5 million equity investment in Farcast and will take a seat on Farcast’s board of directors to support the company’s alignment with the goals of the Telesat Lightspeed program.

Telesat purchases real estate in Timmins to develop Landing Station site for Telesat Lightspeed Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network

Telesat (Nasdaq and TSX: TSAT), one of the world’s largest and most innovative satellite operators, and Timmins Economic Development today announced that Telesat purchased a land plot on Laforest Road from the City of Timmins. This site will serve as a Landing Station to connect data from its advanced LEO satellite network, Telesat Lightspeed, to terrestrial Points of Presence and fibre in Northern Ontario.

Telesat expands relationship with Calian to develop resilient operational data platform for Telesat Lightspeed

Donald Tremblay joins Telesat as Chief Financial Officer

Telesat (NASDAQ and TSX: TSAT), one of the world’s largest and most innovative satellite operators, today announced the appointment of Donald Tremblay as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 20, 2025. A highly experienced CFO, Mr. Tremblay brings over 35 years of financial expertise and leadership, including at publicly listed companies in high-growth, capital intensive industries. He has deep experience in equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and risk management. Mr. Tremblay will be succeeding Andrew Browne, who announced in March of this year that he would be retiring after serving as Telesat’s CFO since 2019.

All amounts are in Canadian dollars and reported under IFRS® Accounting Standards unless otherwise noted.
