User Terminals

You can have it all: Innovation, performance, freedom of choice

To meet your mission-critical needs today and tomorrow, we certify a wide range of enterprise-class user terminals from multiple manufacturers.

This multivendor approach gives you greater flexibility to achieve your connectivity requirements for applications on land, in the air, and at sea.

Optimize… everything with purpose-built user terminals

Choose from a range of user terminals that are specifically engineered with the optimal size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) for the Telesat Lightspeed network.

We’re working with leading manufacturers, including Intellian, Farcast, QEST, and others to develop innovative Flat Panel Antennas (FPAs) and parabolic antennas that are tailored for a variety of application and performance requirements.

Futureproof user terminal investments

Use a mix of Ka-band satellite services to meet today’s immediate needs and evolve to Telesat Lightspeed when its available without the time and cost required to switch out antennas.

Our user terminal ecosystem includes manufacturers such as Viasat and ThinKom, both of whom plan to certify their multi-orbit antennas for use on the Telesat Lightspeed network. That means Viasat GM-40 and ThinKom ThinAir Ka2517 aviation antennas installed today will be able to access Telesat Lightspeed services in the future.

Bring long-term performance and scalability to defence missions

Take full advantage of Telesat Lightspeed to meet evolving operational requirements while continuing to rely on your trusted satellite ground infrastructure.

Our collaborations with defence user terminal manufacturers, such as ALL.SPACE and AvL Technologies, allow you to extract new value, performance, and scalability from your installed base of multi-orbit user terminals.

Stay at the forefront of user terminal innovation

User terminal developers, research organizations, and technology providers regularly use our LEO 3 demonstration satellite to test and validate user terminal performance and innovative new technologies.
