As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in our Agile development process, acting as the bridge between our customers, stakeholders, and the development team. Your primary responsibility will be to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that our development efforts are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization and delivering maximum value to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the product, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and customer needs.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it accurately reflects the priorities of the business and provides the development team with a clear understanding of what needs to be built.
  • Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring that all user stories are clear, concise, and actionable.
  • Epic Definition: Break down high-level requirements into actionable Epics, including detailed acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
  • Release Planning: Collaborate with the development team to plan and prioritize releases, balancing the need for new features with the need for stability and maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring that everyone is aligned on priorities and expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the QA team to ensure that all user stories meet the required quality standards before they are released to production.
  • Feedback Incorporation: Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders and incorporate it into the product backlog, ensuring that the product continues to evolve to meet changing needs and market conditions.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of as a SCRUM master for software development with embedded software projects strongly desired.
  • Good understanding of Agile for software development
  • Understanding of Software Lifecycle Development models
  • Analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive process improvements and predict delivery outcomes.
  • Ability to thoroughly document technical requirements in specifications
  • Strong communication skills including presentation of technical material to groups.
  • Enthusiasm for working with highly productive software development teams.

Decision Making and Supervision

  • Decision making at the product segment level with an expectation of issues which impact the broader program will be communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • This role has no direct admin reports but will lead at least two multi-disciplinary SCRUM teams.
