Leadership Team

Maia Mititelu is Telesat’s Vice President, Human Resources and leads the company’s global human resources functions. She is responsible for talent design, performance management, employee rewards systems, compensation and benefits, and plays a key role in driving overall company performance.  

Maia has been a Human Resource professional for over 20 years working with large organizations in Europe and North America. She joined Telesat in 2018 and held various positions of increasing responsibility supporting and leading employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management and HR planning. Prior to Telesat, Maia held human resources positions at SGS in Bucharest, Romania and at TC Media and CGI in Montreal.

Maia holds a Bachelor of Arts, major in languages and literature from the University of Bucharest, a Master’s degree in management from the Romanian – American University, and a graduate diploma in Human Resources Management from McGill University.
