Telesat LEO – Service Offering

Layer 2 transport service

Telesat will offer a Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) ready, Global Ethernet access service that is especially well suited to carry high-capacity transport for any type of data flow (e.g. voice, video, real time applications) between two or more points. Ethernet services will be delivered  as point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications. Customers will have the advantage of choosing between global access and regional access depending on their requirements.

Plug and Play service

Built on MEF standard APIs, Telesat LEO will truly integrate the space and ground segment to create a global ecosystem of networks that deliver scalable on-demand services.

Services will be delivered over an automated, virtualized, interconnected network powered by MEF Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) application programming interface (API) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

Dynamic and Scalable

Telesat LEO enables customers to control and dynamically modify and manage their traffic. In addition, the Quality of Service (QoS) capability guarantees performance and bandwidth for different classes and applications. QoS policies allow service providers to manage critical traffic, prevent bandwidth hogging, and manage network bottlenecks.
